Banye is not a new name in Cameroon Urban music. One popular blog in Nigeria wrote this June 2018, “In 2012, if you hadn’t listened to Chorkoh by Banye, chances are that you were living under a rock. This Mboko Ghetto anthem was the first anglophone song to enter top Music Charts in Cameroon and became an instant classic”
Banye is back with heavier punchlines for his fans and is promising more for this year with his upcoming Ep titled “Ignition” scheduled to be released in September this year.
Banye’s career took a completely different turn after four years of silence when he signed to Franco Records LLC in January 2018. Banye is full of energy and currently working on multiple projects. He has recorded multiple tracks and shot multiple videos, ready to challenge his creative dynamism to the fullest.
Day I Die recounts his struggles in burying poverty as he meets multiple distractions and obstacles on his path. Chorkoh is a classic Ghetto anthem.
The Houston based label is set for a double release ( two audios + two videos) this week as they launch
their first artist in Cameroon in the person of BANYE aka Donbansoman. Banye was signed to the label
earlier this year in January 2018.
Franco Records LLC operates as an Artist Development, Publishing Company (Franco Publishing),

presence on the ground providing avenues for young men and women to exploit and challenge the
boundaries of their creativity”
Banye aka Donbansoman is back with heavier punch lines and is promising more for his fans. The label
is also gearing up for Banye’s upcoming Ep titled “Ignition” scheduled to be released in September this
The two tracks and videos set to be released this week are: CHORKOH ( unofficially released in 2012 is a
classic ghetto anthem) & DAY I DIE is a new release recounting his stories in trying to bury poverty
within the last five years and the many distractions he encountered.
